Increasing rates without notice, refusal of termination of service

This company has given me 3 different dates to cancel by every year. Each time I attempt they change the date so we ironically "miss" the deadline and we are stuck again for another year. They refuse to take me off the automatic renewal. Poor service, poor customer service. Would not recommend this company.

Fraudulant Billing Practices

I just got off the phone with Advanced Disposal in regard to our quarterly invoice payed last month. The bill totaled $172.56 with an Invoice date of June 30, 2019. It arrived at office via the post office on 7/17/19 (date stamped as part of normal billing practices) and I paid and issued a check on 7/17/19 and mailed the invoice. They received the payment on 7/22/19 and charged us a late fee. I called their office today, 8.7.19 at 3:00 pm at 1-80*-355-**** and they will not take the late fee off. They said they have a policy of only taking off the late fee one time per customer and they already did that for us in February 2018 (same issue). I told them that it is not our fault that the post office took 17 days to deliver their invoice to us and asked if the invoice actually went out on that date. She stated that yes it does and that we have to take the late delivery up with the post office. I do not feel we should be penalized for receiving a bill late from the post office or in all actually from their company in which we promptly paid the invoice after we received it.

Incompetent or Liars

Our trash pick-up was missed yet again in Annandale, MN. The dispatcher claims the route manager, Larry Robindeaux, said he took over the route that day and our trash was not out at 6 am. Our trash, however, was put out on Tuesday night. We have a meticulous household with a list and phone alarms making sure we put our trash out the night before. It was absolutely out. It was the only thing we were thinking about on Tuesday evening. We are now with a household full of people and full trash. They are charging $25 to pick it up now. I tried to give Larry the benefit of the doubt since it is a little side road that perhaps he thought the pick up was on the main street. Nope. He still insists it wasn't out. He's either a liar or made a mistake and won't own it, and banking extra money to have a job done that was already paid for. They have missed the pick ups often at our seasonal home.

Recycle pick up day in Foxchase Subdivision. Actually sitting behind truck and watched them drop 3-4 bottles on ground, and of course they shattered. A few others did not, just rolled into road. I called immediately and they said Supervisor would be notified. Just returned after hour and a half and guess what? Glass in road, but the bottles did make it to the curbs. Called again, said Supervisor had been notified but she didnt know where he was in his day. So guess we count tires damaged and/or kids injured until Supervisor decides to mosey on over. A better solution.....they have to have contact with trucks, why not contact them before they ever leave the subdivision. I realize this would put them behind on their route, but do your job right the first time and it wouldn't be an issue!

I live in Macon Ga and our city put Advance disposal off on us and they are one sorry company. They drop more trash than they pick up.

I have had billing issues with Advanced since I moved into my neighborhood 2 years ago. Our subdivision has an agreement with them that all it’s customers in our neighborhood get a discount. I have never gotten the discount. I have called and emailed several times. So since it was never fixed and my bill went up every time I received a bill, I canceled them. Now I have GFL and I am still getting bills from Advanced they are never the same amount either. I call and one person says I don’t owe it and then I call again and another person says I do owe it. But apparently nobody knows how much because they tell me one amount and a bill says another amount. These people have NO clue as to what they are doing! NEVER sign up for their service!!! I am not even going to give them 1 star. They don’t deserve it

They reversed the charges made to my credit card.

Advanced Disposal bills their customers three months in advanced for their services. The credit card I used for auto pay is charged every third month on the 28th.

On September 28, 2018 Advanced Disposal charged that credit card in the amount of $89.83 for services during the months of October, November, and December. On December 10, I called to cancel my services. I had three weeks worth of garbage collection services paid for at the time of cancellation.
On DECEMBER 28, 2018, 18 days after I canceled services, Advanced Disposal charged my credit card for another full billing period in the amount of $90.66. I called to explain to them that I had canceled my services and I was told that I still owed a balance of $10.24.

They have so far refused to reverse the fraudulent charge of $90.66 and I now suspect they're planning on making another fraudulent charge for this $10.24 they somehow think I owe them.
I included a photo of the charge made to my card along with an unsigned email I received from Advanced Disposal acknowledging the fact that they knew my account was closed on 12/10 yet still charged my credit card on 12/28 for anther full billing period.

This company is nothing but a SCAM!! Never give them your credit card information if you're ever forced to hire them!

Shady billing practices and lousy customer service

Became customer April-June 2019. first quarter went fine. Just got bill stating I owe additional money from precious bill. I had paid 1st quarter over phone. Was told the additional charges should have been included so was probably a new employee. Said they would remove that amount but the future bills would include the higher amount. Customer service reps were very rude. Told 2nd one I'm 72 and spent a lot of time in customer service industry and they have bad practices. Was told "well that's your world this is ours"......WHAT???? Asked for a supervisor and was told Charlotte would call me back. Over 2 hours now and no call. Read on their website that Waste Management was going to buy out Advanced. Only 2 more quarters to go until takes effect in 2020. With all the bad reviews I have read I can't believe some agency hasn't held their feet to the fire!

They charge fees on top of fees and only call to remind you or ask for a payment when the fee is assessed! They don't pick up the trash in a timely manner and the customer service department treats you really nice but they LIE! So many complaints from our home owner's association I can't see why our city is still with them. They suck...if you have a choice, don't choose them!

I ended up paying for no service

Waste mangement changed to Advanced Waste for us in Oct. 2018. It has been nothing but a nightmare. Most of the time they did not show up to collect garbage, yet they still charged me. As of May 2019, they decided to stop service, but they still charged me for the three months. The said if I didn't pay it would be turned over to the collection agency. I asked how? They said because they did the service. I said no you didn't. All in all, I just paid the bill and told them to never bother me again. They are such robbers. When I talked to agents, they would just give me the run around and said oh while. What a joke!

A "No Consideration" Company

I understand that the garbage collection industry can be a difficult environment in which to attract and retain good employees. However, there is no excuse for poor customer relations on behalf of management.

I had service at two residences in Marion County.

When trash wasn't picked up for almost two weeks, I called Customer Service. Their job seems to be getting you off the phone so they can take the next dissatisfied customer call. I requested to speak to someone in management and I wasn't irate or rude to the rep. I was told someone would be in touch.

The next communication was a letter from Advanced Disposal canceling my service with their company - a self-defeating business protocol reflecting a complete lack of consideration for their customers. The only thing they did right was beat me to the punch; I was already contacting alternative companies.

The final week of my contract they skipped both houses again, leaving us w/ a great deal of garbage. Fortunately, the driver for the new company, Florida Express Environmental, was very considerate, and took all the trash.

Constant Failed Pick Ups & Terrible Customer service

3 times in the last 5 weeks no trash pick ups.This is despite complaints being filed with them ( even though ) deny receiving my complaints. I have contacted city Environmental Enforcement and clearly stated my on going concerns and still improvement with these damn jerks.
